Blue Floral Dress + Long Cardigan
Today I’m bringing just a little bit of Sunday outfit inspiration. This combo (a nice a-line or skater dress with a natural waist and a long cardigan) used to be my go-to for just about any occasion that required a dress. I used to LIVE in cardigans. Don’t believe me? Ask any of my friends. It started as a way to cover up my swimmer arms, but it continued long past my swimming years. Once people started pointing out to me all the time that “I never see you without a cardigan on” I decided to make a change. So I don’t buy cardigans often anymore and I kind of forgot their amazingness. The other day we went for a little stroll/coffee break and it wasn’t too terribly hot (read: <90 degrees) so I grabbed this cardi and remembered all the awesomeness that a good cardigan can be.
I have had this beautiful and feminine floral dress from LOFT for close to a year now, but it’s just another of those things that never made it to the blog for some reason. I’ve worn it once or twice (to brunch and to church, maybe on separate occasions) but I think it makes a great dress for many occasions (in addition to the previous: work, dinner, shopping) as it can easily be dressed up or down.
