As I mentioned in my last post (here), I have been obsessed with my cropped denim jacket lately. The pairing possibilities are endless! I could create denim jacket pairings all day long, but I have a job, so I’ve chosen a few items that make great outfits. When looking for a cropped denim jacket, look for something with a base or hem that sits between just below the waist and the top, front of the hip. For me, anything shorter seems to break my body up and anything longer swallows me whole. I also roll the sleeves up to the middle of my forearm. It is also essential that the upper arms and shoulders not be too big or too boxy. A denim jacket is already a more masculine piece, so choosing the right fit is essential. On that same note, I like to pair a denim jacket with more feminine pieces (i.e., florals and bright colors or nude shoes). I’ve compiled this list to help take some of the guess work out of creating the perfect look. You choose the jacket with the best fit for you. Top the look off with some gold bangles, an initial necklace, and a simple clutch and you are all set.
