Red Off Shoulder Dress
While the hubs and I were visiting our hometown this past weekend, we had to take the opportunity to do a shoot in the historic downtown area. We used to frequent downtown and it is actually an area of our town that we bonded over. Well, we didn’t do our research before our little shoot (didn’t think we had to). Not only was it Labor Day weekend in a semi-touristy town, but it was also some sort of blues fest. Which would have been great if we wanted to listen to music, but we just wanted to snap some photos.
Our little 10 minute photo shoot turned into quite the event. We spent an hour of searching for parking, attempting to take photos close to the car only to decide that we should make the trek to our optimal shoot area (seen above), and sweating our butts off. Luckily, this dress is super breezy and really comfortable. We were getting pretty irritable for sure, but by the time we made it back to the car we were so glad we took to the time and the trek because I think these photos might be some of my favorites to date. I think I’m turning into a fan of red. This was my favorite color when I was about 10 but I don’t think I’ve given it much thought since then until now.
