New Year, New Mom: Products to Love in 2019

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com

What a wonderful start to 2019! Milo is WALKING, just turned one, and has become quite the chatterbox. He’s so funny and sweet and I think one year old might be my new favorite age.

With this new phase comes new products for baby and mama to love, so I’ve partnered with BabbleBoxx to get a peek at some must-have products for moms.

You can check out the post we did last year featuring some of my favorite products for new moms here. Spoiler alert: it also features a very new and VERY tiny Milo.

Nationwide Life Insurance

If you keep up with me on Instagram, then you may have heard me mention a time or two that I recently resigned from my day job. Which means I also have found myself in the market for a new life insurance policy. Thank goodness Nationwide is available to help me understand what type of policy I truly need.

Even if you have coverage through your employer, it may not be enough. Employer policies don’t generally move with you and most employer policies only cover 1-2 years of your salary. Many people are surprised to find that out.

For me, it’s difficult to imagine what life might be life for my family if they had to live on that. I know it’s hard to think about for a lot of people and I know it’s tempting to think “We’re so young, why would we need life insurance?” But a solid life insurance policy is not something I want to be without.

Nationwide can work with you to help you understand life insurance and they offer easy to use tools and calculators that help you understand how much coverage. They’ll help you select a policy that meets the needs of you and your family.

Vichy Aqualia Products

I was introduced to Vichy last year, right after having Milo and became such a fan of their super hydrating products. My skin get so dry this time of year and these products help give my skin the boost it needs.

Vichy’s Aqualia products are comprised of 97% natural origin ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vichy’s Mineralizing Thermal Water, & Plant Sugar and have been tested on all types of conditions (weather, stress, daily aggressors/pollution).

Aqualia Thermal Night Cream

This night cream is a paraben-free overnight moisturizer that’s ideal for any skin type. I put it on at night and wake up with smooth and glowing skin.

Aqualia Thermal Gel Cream

This paraben-free daytime gel moisturizer is ideal for normal/combo skin.

Bamboobies

Bamboobies makes some of my favorite products for nursing and I’m so excited to share them with you.

The Open Nursing Shawl is one of my favorite nursing covers. It’s the ideal cover if you wear a baby carrier. It’s open so you’re free to move around while still keeping baby covered and protected from sun and other elements. It’s also cute as an extra layer. It fits all bodies and is a great day-to-night transition piece. We’ve been to several weddings with Milo and a shawl like this is the perfect cover that doesn’t scream NURSING COVER.

The cover is also great for plane rides. We have traveled A LOT with Milo and having a good nursing cover makes flights so much easier. The super-soft rayon from bamboo fabric is breathable and comfortaBle for both mom and baby so no need to worry about being even more stuffy on those long flights.

The certified organic and lanolin-free boob-ease USDA Organic Nipple Balm is a godsend and helps soothe sore and cracked nipples. I needed this much more when we were figuring out nursing and getting used to it. I still find myself needing it now when those toddler teeth get me or when Milo nurses more than usual. I’ve actually used it to moisturize my hands and as a lip balm this winter, too. It works wonders.

There’s currently a 10% off coupon on Amazon for a 2 pack of Nipple Balm. Offer expires 2/6/19 or while supplies last. Limit 1 coupon per customer.

Playtex Nursing Bras

It’s been approximately 12 months since I’ve worn a “real” bra regularly and I’m honestly not sure if I’ll ever go back because…hello, comfort.  I love Playtex nursing bras and have been wearing the Playtex Nursing Pretty Shaping Foam Wirefree Bra a lot lately. It’s constructed of Cool Comfort™ technology that helps keep you cool and comfortable. It has front
adjustable Quickstrap™ for ease of use. I love that it has a little extra support but is still super easy and comfortable.

The Playtex Nursing Sleep Bra also has Cool Comfort™ fabric so you’re cool and comfortable (SO important to me at night). This bra is wire-free and so super comfy for sleep. Plus it has 2-ply cups with hidden pockets for nursing pads (MAJOR helpful early on).

Sprout Stage 2 Pouches

I recently read a blog post talking about how easy moms today have it because of food pouches (ORGANIC baby food. in pouches.) and honestly I have to agree. I know mothering is always a challenge, but food pouches definitely offer a new level of convenience to feeding your child. Early on once Milo started solids, we made all of his food at home. Now though, we appreciate the convenience of food pouches on the go and Milo really loves Sprout.

Sprout makes wholesome, organic food for babies and toddlers like the Strawberry Apple Beet Red Bean & Apricot Banana Chickpea Fig flavors. They have options for every age and stage of baby’s development and use high-quality recipes made only with USDA Certified Organic, nonGMO ingredients (mamas rejoice!). One of my favorite things about them is that they have no added sugars, no flavors or Colors, and NEVER anything artificial.

What are some of your favorite products for baby and mama?

Thank you for reading!
