Plaid Coat

This plaid coat is one of my favorite pieces this fall.  I have been all about statement coats this season.  This plaid coat is such a big statement that I didn’t feel the need to dress it up too much.  Sometimes when I introduce a new piece to my wardrobe, I like to style it with some of my trusty faves.  In this case, those trusty faves would be my “Hello Gorgeous” tee from Old Navy and my Betsey Johnson bow pumps.  I bought both of these things last year and have turned to them again and again.  I’m sure I will wear this coat many times in a number of ways, but it’s nice to know that I have pieces that I trust to help create any look.  That’s something I absolutely love about layering.  You start with your most basic pieces (jeans, tee, pointed toe pumps) and sometimes add just one layer.  Then you have a styled look for whatever the occasion.
