So, I’ve been sick lately. Like, really sick. It’s like a horribly terrible cold, but worse. It started last week and got progressively worse over the weekend. I actually made it to the office yesterday and quickly regretted it. Today I decided to keep my germs to myself and ended up being thankful that I did so because many of my co-workers spent hours getting home in the snow. In any case, I haven’t been able to get out and do any photos lately (more on this in a minute) so I am itching to get all dolled up and go out. We rarely have big celebrations (for Valentine’s Day) but I can’t wait to wear this ensemble soon. I snagged the pumps and hat at Sole Society’s sale this past weekend (along with a LOT of other goodies) and I am so excited to see them in person.
Okay, so about taking pictures. Sometimes you can trick yourself into feeling better by making yourself look better. Over the weekend I blow dried my hair and put my face on and got all ready for pictures only to realize…oh…still sick. Then today I got all ready for pictures again and my sweet husband (also the guy who takes my pictures) said, “No way, lady! In this weather? You need to rest.” So here I am “resting.” And by “resting” I mean scouring the web for all my latest curiosities and watching more than my fair share of Gilligan’s Island.
