Happy Wednesday, dolls! We’ve had a crazy several weeks in the Nuñez house and I thought it appropriate to share a crazy little story about this Mexican embroidered blouse (aka “the mystery blouse”).  This blouse has been in my family since I was a kid but I really have no idea from where it came.  It was in the dress up wardrobe that my three sisters and I shared growing up.  Then it hung on my wall for a few years when I was a young teen and I’ve just held onto it ever since.  Not sure how I got away with adopting the blouse, but I just thought it was really cool.  I took it with me to college but it just stayed under the bed.  Now it has followed me to my big kid house and I have no recollection of how it got here.  But here it is.  Begging to be worn.  It’s never been given its due, so I figured I should let it have its day.

I asked my mom and sisters if they had any idea where we got the blouse and they agreed that they had no idea.  My mom said she thought maybe grandma got the shirt from Mexico.  I had a similar idea but I couldn’t pin it down.  I went to Mexico with my grandmother on a (then elderhostel) vacation when I was 10, but I really don’t remember us picking it up then.  Perhaps she got it on a previous trip?  I should ask her.

Anyway, now the shirt is here in its (hopefully) permanent home in my corner of the internet where it will remain indefinitely.  That is, until I shut down my blog or the internet dies because robots take over the world.

Quick side note about the adorable quilted crossbody in this look – it’s amazing.  I used it as my primary bag when I went to the beach with my friends and it was perfect.  Just the right size for everything I needed and such a fun color!
