I’m sure by now most of you have heard of the book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo. I recently read listened to the book (you’ll probably hear more about it from me) and felt so inspired that the next day I went through EVERY PIECE of clothing that I own. I love the concept of touching each piece to evaluate whether or not it sparks joy. I got rid of at least 24 trash bags full of clothes, bags, and shoes that no longer spark joy. I’m actually quite surprised at some of the things I got rid of. I immediately felt so light and I have REALLY edited my wardrobe down. The only thing is that now I only have, like, one long sleeve tee (and a couple sweaters) and you’re looking at it. It’s the only one I kept and with good reason: it’s adorable and comfortable and sits about one step above a regular tee. I haven’t found anything just like it since I bought it at Fab’rik last year, but I’m thinking I’d like to buy something similar in a few more colors (black and white for starters). I love that it can easily be paired with jeans for a classic jeans and tee ensemble, but that it has just a little more character than a plain tee.
