I might have a little thing for lace dresses right now.  I think it’s the perfect date night look.  This dress in particular is what I plan to wear for Valentine’s day.  Which leads me to a funny story.  The looks I share here are pretty much always outfits I really wore.  Typically I wear a look as a sort of “test run” during the week, then shoot the look on the weekend.  There’s no real reason for this other than it’s just challenging to shoot during the week most of the time.  This look is the exception though because this is a look that I plan to wear, rather than one I already wore out.

Now for the funny story.  I was getting ready to go shoot this look and Nick walked in to our room, dressed as he usually is for pictures – jeans, Clarks, plaid flannel shirt, a puffy vest, and a baseball hat.  When he walked in, I looked at him and said “oh, this is embarrassing.  I’m all dressed up and you’re not.  Do you still want to go?”  He was so confused.  I think he said something like “wait, what are we doing?  Did we have plans?  I thought we were doing a shoot.”  Sometimes I play little tricks on him and I always think I’m way funnier than I really am.  Just thought I’d share because I had a good laugh about it.

I’m so in love with this dress, but it’s just about sold out on Piperlime.  Which reminds me.  Piperlime is closing their doors.  When I found out, I had a legit freakout.  I’m major bummed about it.
