Creating a relaxing space for guests is important to me. I am not an expert hostess by any means, but I do like to try to make sure that my guests are comfortable. Of course, as a young couple that is just starting out, we can’t afford every luxury. As such, I just try to add a few comforts to the guest bedroom. In the guest bedroom, it’s helpful to keep extra pillows, blankets, and bottled water. We also maintain a little coffee/tea station with a hot water dispenser, mugs, coffee, and tea. I’ve found that guests don’t usually use this, but it’s nice to have it in case they don’t want to go downstairs in their jammies to get their coffee.
We have an extra bedroom that has remained essentially vacant since we moved into our house, except for the occasional air mattress or two when we need more than just one extra bed. In preparation for holiday visitors, however, we are in the process of getting it set up to be a guest bedroom. The room is white (white walls, white bed, and white bedding) so I’ve decided to do pink and gold as accents in the room. I absolutely love this color combo and am tempted to redo the master in these colors as well. I’ll do a follow up post once we have everything looking the way we want it. But, because I know that you just can’t wait for the reveal, here’s a little peek wishlist to hold you over.
TGIF! Have a fabulous day and enjoy your weekend!
