Summertime is always full of travels for us and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Lately we’ve been traveling almost two weeks out of every month. The only downside is being away from the pups so much.
Family Road Trip to Hilton Head Island
One of our most recent trips was to Hilton Head Island, SC a couple weeks ago for a little getaway filled with shopping, eating, and beaching. We had the very best time. Milo is such a fan of the beach so it’s always so fun watching him enjoy the sand and the wind and the waves.
Hilton Head Island is one of our favorite road trips from Atlanta. We took the new Toyota Camry and it was the perfect car for our family trip.
Nick and I love road trips. We went to school in Florida and would make the road trip back to Arkansas together every break. I always say that the best conversations happen in the car because so much of our relationship was built on long conversations (and sing-alongs and road trip games) in the car.
This trip to HHI will always be a little bit sentimental to me because it was one of the first trips where I was able to sit up front with Nick most of the time since Milo was born. It was a fun time of reconnecting and bonding over some great conversation while we enjoyed the awesome tech in the Camry! We LOVED this car and had so much fun checking out all the cool new features. We especially loved the 10-inch heads up display on the windshield. And, since we were traveling with our precious cargo in the backseat, we really appreciated the awesome safety features like lane departure alerts and dynamic cruise control.
I was able to sync my phone up to the car when we picked the vehicle up. This was honestly one of my favorite features. I could play a podcast or a playlist, pause it when I got out of the car, and it would automatically start back where I left off when I got back to the car. The car also has a wireless charging pad for your phone (um..awesome). I also thoroughly enjoyed the moonroof which was great for some late night star-gazing.
I am so looking forward to more fun-filled road trips with my guys and I can’t wait until Milo is old enough to join in on those long conversations. Although, I must admit, I’m not in too big of a hurry. 🙂
