I do almost all of my shopping online and have a legitimately terrible habit of always buying items that are a little too big for me. I’m really not sure why I do this, but I can only assume that it is because I have an unrealistic perception of my body (aka – I think I’m bigger than I am). It’s kind of weird and uncomfortable to talk about it, but it’s a very real problem for me. I think I’m terrified of clothes being too small for me. Most of the time, it ends up biting me in the butt because I end up with a bunch of items I can’t even wear, but in the case of this cropped knit sweater (and this dress, actually), it kind of works. Because this sweater is oversized, it’s a great layering piece, and this dress (worn as skirt) is the perfect pairing. Something I’ve learned with this issue of mine is that a couple safety pins go a long way. Safety pin the dress, cover it with the sweater. Bam.

It’s brilliant how you wear the dress as a skirt, I should start doing this.
