Trying new things today, “leather you like it or not” –  but I so hope that you do!  I love dark lips, especially plum lips, and am so excited to be trying this new lip color, L’oreal Paris’ Infallible Le Rouge lipstick in Persistent Plum.  I think I quite like it!  I feel like dark lips almost count as an accessory this season.  It’s a way to instantly dress up a look without adding too much.  Plus, I think anyone can pull it off.

I’m also wearing a tank over a button down.  I’ve been wanting to try this look specifically for a while but wasn’t totally sure if it would work. I love this peplum top with the leather accent on the front, but it can be difficult to style in cooler weather.  It’s too chilly to wear the top without something over the arms, but cardigans and jackets seem to diminish the appeal of the leather details (and the peplum, for that matter).  However, worn over a button down, the peplum tank almost serves as a vest.  I also really love the structured, peplum top and the button down paired with a distressed denim.  It makes the look a little more playful.  Finally, I’m mixing prints and textures a little more than I typically do.  Stripes, leopard print, leather, and ostrich!  Quite the combo.
