These past few months have flown by and I can’t believe we’re already in August (nearly mid-august, no less). I’ve been out of town the past several weekends and I’ve gotten a little behind. Two weekends ago, N and I hopped down to Florida for a little weekend getaway in Pass-A-Grill/St. Pete Beach. The area right outside our hotel was adorable and there were just streets and streets of adorable houses and hotels right along the beach. I wore this look on Saturday (our only full day) for an early morning walk.
The fit of this oversized tee is a little unusual – it’s too short for me personally to wear with a regular rise short or jean and it’s loose and flowy. These characteristics make it perfect to wear with high-waisted cutoffs, though. I loved wearing this tee for an early morning walk before it got too hot. I actually ended up wearing it to lunch as well and was still pretty comfortable, but it was admittedly probably not the best choice for a hot Florida day. 🙊
These white cutoff shorts have become my absolute FAVORITES this summer. They are so casual and effortless. I love that they are high-waisted and I love the little (I mean, it’s actually a lot) distressing on the front. They look great with crop tops and t-shirts alike. Sizing tip – I sized up one size to give myself a little more wiggle room in the thighs and booty. BUT that means they are a little looser than I’d prefer in the waist. I’d prefer this, personally, but wanted to let you know in case you plan to buy.
I packed a few different purse options for my beach weekend, but this bucket bag is the only purse I ended up using for running around! It perfectly fits everything I need: my phone/case, wallet, and a small bag of cosmetics. It even fits my camera, which I haven’t been carrying lately because I’m just as happy with my phone! But it’s nice to know I can carry my camera if I want.
