Lately, I’ve been obsessed with this little denim jacket from Topshop. It’s perfect to throw on with white shorts and a tank or over a dress. I’m also loving this little, tiered dress and it’s such a steal, too!
I am absolutely obsessed with this style dress. I used to have 2 tiered dresses from Cotton On that fit exactly like this when I was in college and they were my go-to dresses. I had a black one and a coral one and I would wear them to everything! I’d wear them with a cardigan for anything from church to a baby shower to a fun day at the farmer’s market or even to the beach. When I saw this dress online recently (and for $12), I knew I needed to grab it up. 
I have no idea what became of my beloved Cotton On dresses, but I can assure you that if I find any more dresses in this style I will be buying them in every color and print. They are so effortless and perfect for any summer day.
Whenever I wear dresses like these, it’s essential to have the right undergarments. And in the summer, I like for said underthings to be lightweight. This isn’t a paid advertisement by any means, but I’m obsessed with SPANX. They recently let me try their new Skinny Britches Mid-Thigh Short and I had to throw a mention in here because they are PERFECT to wear under dresses like this one and they come in several colors to more closely match your skin tone, making them ideal to wear under light colored dresses. I’ll be living in little dresses, denim jackets, and my mid-thigh shorts all summer.
Tiered Dress and Denim Jacket
This look is pretty much my ideal summer look. I love that the dress is so versatile. It definitely carries a casual vibe but with the right pieces and accessories, it can get you through some nicer summer occasions. I personal love it with the denim jacket and have worn this exact look a few times for Sunday afternoon lunch and errands. If I had to pick a casual summer staple, it’d probably be a simple and lightweight dress like this one.
