Green Dress

This season, I have been all about deep, dark greens like in this green dress.  It started with a cute little bra from True & Co., then it was a green velvet pillow from World Market, then I started painting with dark greens, then I wanted dark green ornaments for my tree, and it just progressed from there.  Maybe it’s the 90s (they’re back because we all want to dress like our parens did when we were kids).  Now the green dress is my favorite little holiday piece.  It can actually be dress up or down quite easily, I think.  I chose to play on its more vintage vibe with the glasses, top knot, thrifted belt and tan pumps, but it would be super adorable with big waves and ankle booties.

      Hey, Tracee! Glad you like the look. I don’t have any pictures of myself wearing it with booties, but if you follow the link to the dress, the model is wearing booties with it. If I shoot this dress again, I’ll try with booties so you can see. I definitely know the feeling (of being nervous of booties with a dress) because I’m only 5′. I KNOW a look like that can make me look even shorter, but I think the key is proportions.
