Work Week Relaxation: Movie Under the Stars

For our second anniversary this past May, I was really sick, which basically squandered all hope of a romantic evening out with my sweet Nico like we had planned.  Nevertheless, we celebrated.  Nick, being the wonderful guy that he is, picked up food from one of our favorite restaurants and came back and prepared an evening under the stars in our backyard.  We ate dinner and watched a movie outside.  It was the perfect way to celebrate.  In fact, we liked it so much that we’ve recreated that experience a few times this summer (When it wasn’t raining, of course. Hotlanta who?  How about Wetlanta?!).  

As the summer comes to an end and the weather cools off, this is the perfect way to wind down in the middle of the work week.  All that’s needed is a quilt, some comfy pillows, a laptop, and some tasty lemonade.   When I’ve had a long week or am in the middle of a long week, I like to relax with a movie under the stars and a sparkling concoction such as a Passion Tea Lemonade (sort of obsessed). 

Ingredients (for 2 servings):

2 cups Passion Tea Concentrate (2 tea bags per cup)

1 cup Lemonade

1 cup Deer Park Sparkling Water*

Sweetener (stevia or agave)

Ice cubes (I think square are more fun – just a thought)

The day before (or some odd hours before) you plan to make lemonade, make concentrate.

1. Boil water

2. Steep tea bags for 5 to 10 minutes

3. Sweeten concentrate to taste

Instructions:

Mix one cup concentrate, 1/2 cup lemonade, 1/2 cup Deer Park Sparkling Water, and ice cubes in glass or mix all ingredients in pitcher and pour over ice.  Serve with strawberries and garnish with lemon slices or mint.
