I am loving this top! The bold font and the leopard sleeves? Perfection. Shooting this outfit however, not so perfect. The wind was insane – like so insane that my bag was flailing around and my hair was going wild. But my patient Nick put up with the wind and the watery eyes to snap these keepers.
Today seems like an appropriate day to wear this “Who Cares” shirt. Sometimes, in a less literal way, my clothes are a reminder to myself to be whoever I want to be. I’d rather not be too concerned with what people think of me because, quite frankly, it’s exhausting. It becomes nearly impossible to do the things you need to do if you live every moment for what you think people think of you. When you learn that you can’t please everyone and decide to live your life for the things you believe in, beautiful things can happen. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. figured this out. He was not overly concerned with what people thought of him because he had a larger goal in mind. He said the world “Who cares?” so to speak because he already knew who he was. And he devoted his life to his cause.
Happy MLK day! Be you. Live for a cause. Because who cares what others think?
