Guys, I have SO many gorgeous spring florals and little dresses to share with you! I’m so excited to share them that I almost can’t sit still. But sometimes nature happens and you have a beautiful spring day with temps in the 40s. I actually had to break out got to wear this lightweight wrap coat this past weekend, so I thought I’d share the look with you.

What to Wear on a Chilly Spring Day

I bought this wrap coat before my recent trip to Colorado as a lightweight piece to wear in flight. I always get super hot when I am getting checked in, going through security, and getting to my gate, then I freeze on the plane. Because of this, I decided to check this piece and opted to carry a travel pillow/blanket combo and wear a cable knit cardigan instead. I definitely think I made the right decision, but I didn’t end up wearing this coat in CO and sort of feared I wouldn’t get any use out of my new favorite piece after all.

While I’ve been absolutely loving the beautiful weather lately, I can’t lie…I was a little bit excited to wear this coat when the temps dropped this past weekend. It was strangely chilly and only even felt comfortable in the sun, so I grabbed this lightweight wrap coat to run errands. I didn’t plan to shoot this look at all, but when we stopped to get coffee, I thought we might as well take advantage of the cool weather and go ahead and shoot this look. I really think this coat is PERFECT for cool spring mornings because it’s thin and doesn’t make you too warm, but it still keeps you from getting cold. I think it’d be darling over a floral dress, but I personally couldn’t handle the bare legs on this day. You’ll be able to wear this coat the moment it gets cooler in the fall and at less than $45, I think it’s a great piece to have on hand for a travel day or for an uncharacteristically cool day.

I’ve also really been loving my new Quilted Ella Tote in nude from Vera Bradley. I have some more looks scheduled with this bag soon, but I just want to mention that I picked it as a travel bag and it is absolutely perfect. It hold all the essentials – my laptop, a small cosmetics bag, my wallet, a book, and my notebooks and planner. It can actually hold a lot more, but I don’t like to carry too much when I’m traveling by plane.

What do you like to wear on a chilly spring day? Do you love wrap coats as much as I do?

Happy Monday!

PS – this tee and jeans pair is the same as in yesterday’s post with Sakroots. When I find something I like, I have no qualms about wearing it over and over again (obviously). So this tee and these jeans have been on heavy, heavy repeat. I actually feel like I need another pair of the jeans (they’re that good) and I have several of the tee in different colors (also so good). 🙂
