5 Ways to Style a Bandana

I love bandanas and have worn them in my hair since I was a kid. But lately bandanas have come back as a trend and I absolutely love seeing them everywhere. I still wear one in my hair as seen in the first picture around the house, but I’m excited to wear the bandana in other ways. I really love the bandana around the wrist, and there are so many ways to tie it around your neck. I pulled together a couple of my favorite ways to tie it around my neck, but there are even more options. You can fold the bandana in half diagonally and tie it in the back. You can pull it taught diagonally and tie it in the front. You can even tie it around a bag handle instead of a scarf.

Although there are many ways to style a bandana, one of my favorite things about the bandana is how affordable it is to acquire one (or many). You can find bandanas at pretty much any of your favorite retailers right now for anywhere from $5 to $30, but there’s a more affordable place to find one – your local craft store. That’s right, these bandanas cost about $1.30 at Hobby Lobby. So stock up. I have the blue color pictured above, gray, black, navy, green, pink, and white. And that’s not even all the color options. If spending only $1.30 on an accessory isn’t your style (and that’s totally okay if it isn’t), you can find them other places. I recently got this paisley print neckerchief in navy for $10 but haven’t taken it out of the package so I’m not sure how big it is. The Hobby Lobby bandanas are 22″x22″ and this paisley scarf (worn here – currenlty 50% off) is 32″x32″ so you can wear it longer if you want.
