Happy Friday, guys! I can’t believe it’s already July! The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays ever. I just have the best summer memories of going out on the lake and watching fireworks with my family every year. Another reason I love the Fourth is the obvious, it’s one of the few times a year I feel like I can get away with wearing red, white, and blue. And the perfect compliment to any summer look (but, especially a Fourth of July look) is a golden tan.

Growing up, one of my favorite months of the year was July. I grew up in a lake town so summers were spent on the boat. My family would go pick up food and go out on the boat and stay out until it was dark. My sisters and I would wrap up in towels and sleep on the boat ride back to the dock then sleep in the car on the way home. We were always worn out from the best kind of fun. But my favorite boat day of all the boat days was always Fourth of July. Because fireworks. Obviously.

Now, as an adult, I honestly can’t remember the last time I went out on the lake. But I still very much love fireworks and the Fourth of July. These days, though, I admittedly look forward to the Fourth primarily because it’s a chance to wear red, white, and blue. This year I’ll just be hanging out with N and a few friends for the Fourth and hopefully we’ll catch some fireworks. No matter what we do, I’ll be sporting this fun summer look and a lovely spray tan. What to Wear for Fourth of July with Palm Beach Tan - via @maeamor

If you’ve been following Mae Amor for a little while, you may already know that I am a HUGE fan of Palm Beach Tan. I basically wrote a love letter to the company on the blog last year because they are the ONLY tanning salon I visit and I actually pay for my own membership because I love it that muchWhat to Wear for Fourth of July with Palm Beach Tan - via @maeamor

I recently had the opportunity to pop into PBT for a spray tan. I did the Mystic Spray Tan in the medium color and added the party fragrance and tan extender. These pictures were taken the day after, but I’m currently about 6 days out and still VERY happy with my color. If you get a spray tan, your sunless tan will last anywhere from 3-7 days. You can help it last by making sure you:

o   Wait at least 4 hours before bathing, swimming or coming in contact with water.

o   Avoid engaging in activities that cause you to sweat heavily until your tan has fully developed (at least 4 hours).

o   Moisturize daily with a post-sunless product

The instructions are pretty simple and an expert at Palm Beach Tan is always available to help you with everything from finding the right shade to setting up your machine. They can answer any questions you have about your session.

After your session, you’ll be wanting to snap selfies because girl, you look goood. I was in love with my new shade and couldn’t help but snap a couple pics. What to Wear for Fourth of July with Palm Beach Tan - via @maeamor

What to Wear for Fourth of July

For my Fourth of July look, I opted for the summer favorite of an off shoulder top. In this case, I went with navy for my blue. I paired it with classic white shorts and a boater. I didn’t have any red pieces that I thought went with the look, so I opted for a bold red lip. I went through a phase last year where I wore bold lipstick every day. I forgot how much I enjoyed that! Be prepared for more bold lips in the future.

I think I’ve got my Fourth of July look down and will definitely be wearing some version of this on Monday. But if you’re still wondering what to wear for the Fourth of July, her are some gorgeous off shoulder tops.

My fave 4th of July look is a navy and white maxi dress with sheer back. It’s perfect to wear with braided hair and cute sandals or just as a bathing suit cover up. Love it!

I don’t do spray tan. I’m fine with my white legs (maybe a little lazy). I love the top…the colors and the
