Best in Beauty: New Contour Products from IT Cosmetics

I recently received this contour trio and was waiting to use the items until I was able to share with you all. I unfortunately didn’t snap the best photos, but I wanted to let you all know because I am now IN LOVE. I try new contour products periodically and have never been as excited about them as I am about these.

I’ve been trying to improve my contour skills for quite some time and while I’m decent at contouring, I always feel like I’ll never be quite good enough. I’ve tried all sorts of contour products and mostly just feel meh. Like, that’ll pass but it’s not great. Now I think it turns out that the products you use are everything (go figure!). I’ve been using a contour stick for forever and have historically been hesitant to use powder contour products. I use a stick because it’s so blendable. I use it with a beauty blender and am usually pretty content with the results. I usually prefer cream contour because I sometimes feel like powder contour can be chalky and difficult to blend out, so I just stick with my usual routine and use a subtle powder bronzer to set my contour. If you’ve thought like me and shied away from powder contour as a result, please let me introduce you to the You Sculpted palette from IT Cosmetics.

YOU sculpted Contour Palette

I recently received that You Sculpted Universal Contour Palette and now I can’t put it down. It comes with four contour colors (soft, light, medium, and deep) and two highlights (matte and radiance). I’ve been liking the light contour for most of my face, but I might start using the medium as I get more color in the coming months. It might be too orange for me though so we’ll see. I actually really love the color of the deep contour as well because it’s more in the gray family. I like both of the highlights and use the matte on most of my face, then the radiance to highlight the tip of my nose, cheekbones, browbones, and cupid’s bow. The products are super blendable and more natural than anything I’ve ever attempted to use – especially when used with the brush below.

Another thing to love about this palette is the instructions it comes with. In the back of the palette, there’s a pullout pamphlet that has information on how to contour EVERYTHING. We’re talking face, cleavage & décolleté, abs, arms, legs, and booty (yes, booty). The most I’ve ever attempted to contour is my face (even that is a feat) and décolleté. But I have to admit, I’m looking down at my legs right now and wondering how on earth I’m gonna be ready for an upcoming swimsuit shoot I have planned – I have ZERO tan right now. Bring out the self-tanner and my new contour palette. I’ll report back on how that goes 🙂

Sunshine in a Compact

I have this thing for bronzers and love trying to bronzing products, but I’m not always the best at using them. I have acquired a little bit of a collection but only use two bronzers regularly. Well, I’m bumping them out of the way to make room for IT Cosmetics’ Sunshine in a Compact. It’s subtle and matte, but natural looking. I think it really captures what a bronzer is intended to be – a product that adds a subtle hint of color without looking like you’re using a bunch of product.

The only thing I don’t love about this product is the packaging. Don’t get me wrong, I think the packaging is beautiful – I love the black and clear matte! However, I kinda wish it had a mirror in it.

Heavenly Luxe Angled Radiance

I have a handful of IT Cosmetics brushes and they are my favorites out of my collection. They are so soft and feel luxurious. This angled brush is the perfect contour brush. The shape of the brush and densely packed bristles allow for the most concentration of product to be in the center. It then blends/blurs the product outward. This is must-have for me and I use it in my daily routine.

I got these products a while ago and wish I had started using them sooner because they’ve changed my contour game. At the very least, they’ve changed how I feel about powder contour products. I’ll work on getting a full face application pic so you guys can see how it all looks on the face.

I have lots more beauty content coming down the line, so let me know if there’s any specific you’d like to see.
