Happy Monday, loves. This past weekend N and I made a (very) quick trip to Arkansas for a family reunion.

We did the usual and drove down Friday after work, spent one day there, and drove back. We had a really lovely weekend. The reunion was on a family-owned piece of land and the weather was really beautiful (hot at times, but overall lovely).

After the reunion, we had dinner with my parents, two of my sisters, and baby sister’s bf. Then Sunday morning we had a lovely brunch at my parents’ c/o my dad. He surprised us with pastries and parfaits. It was really thoughtful and we had a beautiful morning by the lake and I enjoyed every moment (and shared a rare Sunday Instagram).

Normally these little trips feel so rushed that I don’t feel like I get to appreciate them, but I actually came home feeling a little refreshed this time around. I think it’s due in part to the beautiful weather we had. The Arkansas that you see this time of year is my favorite type of Arkansas.

We’ve been having some similarly lovely weather here in Georgia as well and it has me wearing all kinds of dresses. I can’t seem to get enough of wrap dresses, in particular. This floral wrap dress (faux wrap dress, actually) is sort of my favorite. The color and the print are obviously amazing and spring appropriate, but I also really love the length. It’s above-the-knee in the front and pretty long in the back. Sort of the classy mullet of dresses.

…just kidding. I take that back. It’s not a mullet. Please don’t tell anyone I said that.

But seriously, the length is great. Also, so good for spring. I also really love the fit of this dress – it’s super flattering. However, while I love the long sleeves and deep-v back, I’m not a huge fan of the rest of the top. The dress fits perfectly in the waist, but the top is just generally too large for me. I get it, you can’t have it all.

I don’t have a whole lot of chest, but the bust area still seems a little big in comparison to the rest of the dress. I recognize that this is only helpful if you have my exact body type, but I thought it would be worth mentioning in case you intend to purchase.
