This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend Her Campus College Fashion Week in Atlanta with European Wax Center. Before the runway show, I got to have my eyebrows touched up by EWC. If you know me, you know I’m serious about my brows. I’ve always had thick brows, but they’ve been through many different phases. I used to think it was a curse to have thick brows but in recent years I’ve come to appreciate them. I usually like to rock a bold brow that’s more true to my natural shape, but I had a traumatic moment last year when I realized my eyebrows were out of control and over plucked.

So I grew my brows back out and haven’t looked back. But since then, I’ve not trusted anyone with my brows and I barely tweeze or wax them myself. I’ve had them done professionally a few times where the results were too-thin or too-far-apart brows that didn’t suit my face. I let EWC know about my fear and their consultant was so nice and she even gave me a little mini consultation to ease my fears for when I come into the center. But for the purpose of the evening, they used two main products on me (as well as all the models) and I loved the results! Bold brow lovers rejoice!

The first product she used is the Brow Powder (we used the color Venice on me) to fill in and shape my brows. I’ve not been much of a brow powder user lately (I usually use a pencil and pomade to fill in), but I really like this product! I thought it looked great and it had a little bit of a softer look, even for super dark brows like mine. Then she used the Shape It brow shining & defining serum to set everything and keep my brows in line. I can safely say that my brows did not budge all night. In fact (and I am really not proud to say this), I accidentally fell asleep in my makeup and my brows were just as beautiful as the night before when I woke up the next morning. Now that’s some staying power if you ask me.

Happy Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

I unfortunately didn’t get any runway looks because where we were seated had us looking right into a super bright light. Womp womp. But we saw some incredible looks following the minimalist, 70s, and 90s punk trends for fall. The models (all college students) were incredible! They owned that runway in confidence. If I had that level of confidence in college, I would have started Mae Amor years ago.
