Summer is here now, officially, and I’m so excited for the many pool days in my future. I was a competitive swimmer for most of my life, so I can honestly say that I feel at home in the pool. Yet for years I’ve found myself too busy to swim and it’s frustrating. This summer I’ve pledged to myself to spend more time in the water. But now that I’m a grown lady, I’ve found some new frustrations that leave me feeling less than excited to chill poolside…

You might have guessed my new frustrations. Basically, all things that cause a gal to be self conscious. Going to the pool should be relaxing, not anxiety-inducing. But if you don’t know what to wear to feel covered and cute, anxiety is sort of unavoidable. Enter SPANX. You know I have a love for this brand, and when I saw their line of swimwear, I knew I had to try them out. Nick actually picked this swimsuit out and I was quite surprised. After he made his case (I think he just said it looked “cool”), I gave in. And this swimsuit ended up being my ABSOLUTE favorite. It’s comfortable, flattering, and yeah…it’s pretty “cool.”

LIKEtoKNOW.it is, hands down, my favorite way to shop and I use it basically every day. You can change your email settings to only get emails every time you like something with a liketk.it link, every day, or every week. I get the emails weekly, but if there is a look that I’m dying to shop right away, I’ll usually just enter the link directly. Like, for instance, to get the details of my donut floaty pic, I’d just type www.liketk.it/1toJA directly for details.

Okay…I had no idea that Spanx had swimsuits, where have I been?! And it is so chic & cool! You mention that it is comfortable…how does it feel around the bottom? I have curves so I need something that is comfortable and doesn’t cut into my skin if you know what I mean!

Can I just start off by saying I am insanely jealous of your hair. It’s perfect. But I feel so conscious after having kids. I’m the lightest I’ve ever been but my body is just different now. Such a struggle to adjust! I’ll have to check these suits out!
I am the same way when it comes to bathing suits because I feel like I “weigh skinny” but when I get into a bikini I’m like oh dear…I need a tan, I should’ve lost 10 pounds, I should’ve shaved better and it’s a constant self-conscious session. That is…until I’ve had a beer or two and it’s 100 degrees. Then I just don’t care about anything at that point. This suit looks amazing on you & you look incredible. I have to admit I am in love with your eyebrows (weird compliment right) but they are just so perfect! xx

Such gorgeous lighting in these photos! And you are totally rocking this one piece long sleeve suit! I am LOVING the swimsuits lately and how they are more modest. Sure makes summer a little but easier on of all of us! Haha With the 100 degree temps + 100 degree humidity we have been having though, I have to ask, does this swimsuit make you crazy hot?! I feel like I die outside as is!
