I’ve been wearing these old Joe’s Jeans cutoff shorts a lot lately (last seen here), but the truth is…they are kind of the only shorts I like right now.  And what else would I wear with these gladiator sandals?  Cutoffs are sort of a no brainer.  I should probably try to find some new shorts soon because these are quite literally falling apart.  They get a little shorter every time I wear them.  But sometimes I have a hard time letting go and these shorts are just my latest victim (like that darned army jacket I can’t ever throw out).

I did, however, finally get a new pair of gladiator sandals.  I’ve been shopping for gladiator sandals for a long time without much success.  There’s a huge gap in the prices for gladiator sandals usually.  There aren’t many affordable options that don’t look like they would fall apart in one wear.  There are your super cheap pairs that I wouldn’t even bother with.  Then Topshop has/had some promising options (mostly sold out now).  Zara has some as well, but they are a little bit more expensive.  Then you’ve got your Stuart Weitzmans (dream!) and I can’t do that because I already spent my shoe budget on SW wedges!  So I went with (maybe settled for) these.  They are of decent quality and I found them quite comfortable.  They don’t look that impressive in person to me, but they seem like they’ll hold up okay.  I also really like that they have a heel.  I usually prefer gladiator sandals without a heel, but seeing that I’m 5′ tall, I figured it might actually be helpful.  I do really like this pair, but I’m not sure it has satisfied my desire for tall gladiators.

I’ve been hot on the trail of summer sandals lately.  Do you have any sandal suggestions?  I’d love to hear ’em!

Happy Thursday!

xo,
