Lately I’ve been on a major budget kick.  Maybe I’m still recovering from all of the holiday shopping or maybe it’s my New Year’s savings goals, but either way, I’ve been all about finding cheaper alternatives to the items I’m coveting most.  So I’ve rounded up a few (nine to be exact) of my current favorites under $20.  I own five of the nine items above and almost can’t believe their prices:

Pink sweater – I own this sweater in a sage green color (in stores) and have been LOVING it. I basically wear it every day. Usually I find that budget purchases are not very well made and you can almost forget washing them. Well, I wore the sweater to a TWD viewing that left me smelling of cigarette smoke from head to toe, so my only options were to wash it or toss it. No matter how cheap something is, I’m not going to toss it if I can help it. So I washed it. Like I would wash anything else. Then I did a crazy thing and dried it too. And guess what? It was perfectly fine. I dried it because I was lazy and REALLY wanted to wear it, though I probably won’t make this a habit. It did hold up perfectly though.  So that’s why this sweater makes the list.

Formula X Nail Color – This color in particular is my favorite thing right now.  It was on my Valentine’s Day gift list for this reason.  The formula is amazing.  I do use this as a part of a 3-step process, but it has made it to 5 days before even starting to chip every time I’ve worn it.  Yes, $10.50 is a expensive for nail polish. But it’s so very worth it to me. I have a few colors, but this one has given me the all around best manicure (best coverage, longest lasting, least chipping/streaking/scratching). Honestly, I haven’t even seen it get to full-on chipped status because I usually take it off before it gets there.

Bucket Clutch – I just got this in cream and am so excited to start using it.  It seems really sturdy and can hold a lot (especially for a clutch).  I’ll probably order the black one too.

Strap Tote – I just got this as well and am so impressed with the quality for the price.  I was surprised by the size of it when I got it – it’s quite large.  That’s not always a good thing for me, but I think I’m going to really love this bag.  The color is so perfect for spring because it will literally go with anything.

Coral Flats – These. Oh my gosh! The photos are stunning.  I thought of these for days before I finally just thought whatever and ordered them.  For under $20 (under $15 actually), I’m not sure why I had to think so much. They are every bit as stunning in person.  The only problem I found with them was that they were slightly big. I ordered a 6, which is my usual size for just about all shoes (other than boots – I order those a half or whole size up) and they don’t quite fit perfectly.  They still stay on my feet, but there’s more room than I’d like.  Flats (or any shoes you wear without socks, really) need to fit perfectly to be worn much. Too snug or too big and your feet will be sore and blistered. I’ll probably just get something to put in the back of the shoes. I also ordered these in nude and love them as well.

Happy Shopping!
