It would be a slight understatement to say that I love sunglasses. At one point I counted that I had over 30 pair. I gave probably half of them away because who really needs that many pairs of sunglasses? But I’m in a mood right now and I want all of the sunglasses. I don’t really have a particular type that I gravitate towards. That’s why I have so many – I like variety. I’m super into retro/round and mirror styles right now, but I’m always a fan of wayfarer and aviator styles. One thing that almost all of my sunglasses have in common though is that they cost less than $50. I only have 3 pair that cost more than $50 (two mirrored aviators and one wayfarer, all Ray-bans). The rest are budget buys (mostly costing less than $20).
There are so many great options right now and it just proves that you don’t have to spend a fortune for stylish shades. In fact, I wouldn’t recommend spending a fortune. I’ve been looking for sunglasses a lot lately, so I’ve linked the best sunglasses under $50 above. Just use the scroller to shop my picks!
It’s nice to have a couple pair that I can rely on for driving and such, but for basically any other purpose I can almost promise that I am going to crush them at some point. So having cheaper options is a must for me. I’m a firm believer that the best sunglasses (or any accessories) are the ones that you will wear. If your shades are so expensive that you’re afraid to wear them and they sit on your shelf collecting dust, maybe opt for something you know you’ll wear.

Thanks for your review on sunglasses. I have my own personal addiction with sunglasses as well. I have about 10 pair floating around that are all cheapies. I need a good pair though. I’ll check out the stores you mentioned. I prefer larger shades simply because I have an oval shaped face and they tend to look better on me. 🙂

My favorites are the RayBans. I’ve always loved them. I like Wayfarers too but RayBans will always win.

Back when I wore contact lenses I had dozens of sunglasses. Now that I’m wearing glasses I only have one pair. Prescription sunglasses ruined everything. Lol.
I love sunglasses too but I have 2 expensive pair, 1 black and 1 brown. I also have about 6 colored ones. My family thinks I have too many sunglasses??!!! lol You-30 pairs and sounds like you had 60. We all have our priorities and our favorites in everything.
I cannot pull off any shape of sunglasses unfortunately. I do love #4 & 6 though.

I love the RayBans and so does my hubby ! I won a pair 3 years ago and he still treats them like their made of gold. I don’t know what will happen if he ever loses them or they break !!
