Pink Shift Dress
This pink shift dress with feathers is everything. It’s the perfect little party dress, which would have made it an ideal NYE dress, but I decided to be a rebel and share after the new year switchover. Because it’s still party time. 2015 is a brand new year and a brand new opportunity to be the person you want to be.
Earlier today Nick and I were chatting about what January means to us. Aside from the birthdays of our loved ones, what does January make us think of? We though of New Year’s day, winter, goals/resolutions, etc. But what really resonated with us is the idea of change. Sometimes it’s easy to leave all the hype behind when the ball drops, as if that’s the best part of a new year. But a new year is a time for new beginnings.
Last year I decided to start seeing times of change as beginnings instead of endings (like, Mondays, for example) and I felt like that little change in perspective made a big difference in my experiences. Sometimes that’s all it takes – a change in perspective. So this New Year, let’s embrace transitions and keep growing. Growth necessitates changes. If nothing is changing, then how can you know you are growing? So keep changing. It’s healthy. And be consistent with your changes because changes aren’t really changes if they are temporary.

I love your new philosophy of change. It really does your body a world of good when you learn to program it to see the positive in even just the little things and to make conscious efforts to be present in those moments as well.
