I’ve already started to develop my spring wardrobe, but I just couldn’t wait to style this floral skater dress.  Now, before you jump all over me wondering why I’m already workin’ on my spring looks, let me explain.  I’ve been caught mid-season with nothing to wear way too many times.  I know better now.  Not gonna happen.  But back to the dress.  I’ve been dying to wear it so I paired it with OTK boots and an oversized coat for warmth.

These OTK boots from Guess are kind of perfect.  But I have to be honest, I wasn’t so fond of them when I got them in.  I looked and looked for a pair of grey over the knee boots when I found these online and they seemed PERFECT in the photos.  Plus they were on sale and I had never ordered from Guess so I also used a new member discount.  I ordered up a full size (I wear a 6 just about all the time, but bought a 7) because they were sold out in my size.  I decided it would be fine because I wanted to wear thick socks with them.  The size ended up being okay, but I was pretty disappointed with the material.  In the photos, it seems like the boots are thick and sturdy.  However, they are pretty thin and flimsy.  At first I was disappointed that I had spent as much as I did on the boots, even though they were pretty affordable.  But I realized that the material actually makes them easier to wear.  They are more flexible/easier to move in.  Overall, I think they’re pretty great now.
