Transition Piece: the Striped Midi Skirt
The midi skirt is one of my favorite items any time of year. I love them in summer with a tee or in the fall with a cropped sweater. It’s such a great transitional piece because the skirt really does all of the talking. You can pair it with casual or dressy pieces and layer and accessorize to your liking to create a number of different looks.
Speaking of midis. How cute is this one from L. Mae? It’s the perfect weight for the indecisive weather of these end-of-summer days. The skirt is quite light, but offers great coverage. To offset the fullness of the skirt, I paired it with a semi-sheer (and equally lightweight) sweater. This look is cooler enough for warmer days, but warm enough for cooler evenings. Plus, the colors in the look are easy enough to transition from season to season. Especially if you exchange the pink bag for a neutral bag (say, in cognac?).
