Saturday Seventeen: Favorite Movies of All Time
Happy Saturday, loves! Fancy seeing you here. I know I don’t usually post on Saturdays, but I felt like bringing you all some fun.
I make a lot of lists. They are mostly to-do lists, but occasionally I like to just make lists of things that make me happy or my favorite things. I especially like to do this when I’m feeling down. It just reminds me that there’s something to be happy about, even if it’s as trivial as entertainment. Today, I’m bringing you my seventeen favorite movies. ever. (not necessarily in order) As I was making this list, Nick was making fun of me (affectionately) because my list is wackadoodle. I have a weird selection of favorite movies. I’m no movie critic, and I don’t think there’s some formula for a movie that Mae will like, but I just really like these movies. And I could (and have) watch these movies over and over again. Nick and I are coming up on nine years, so these are probably films I’ve made him watch over and over again, too.
I really like movies. I think I get it from my mom. She really knows how to appreciate films. We used to go to the movies together a lot and, let me tell you, going to a movie with my mom can be a real treat. She gets really into it, always stays through the credits, and almost always claps at the end. I now do the same thing. She almost treats every movie like it’s the best one she’s seen. I’m the same way now and I feel like I see things differently because of it. It will change your life when you learn to find the beauty in anything and just take a moment to appreciate whatever is in front of you.

* I love Audrey Hepburn, naturally, but I only wanted to include one of her films in this list. Roman Holiday is just…the best. My little girl heart (and teenage and adult, if I’m honest) was so filled with wonder when I’d watch this film.
