Girl on the Go with Tieks

I’m forever on the hunt for the perfect “on-the-go” shoe.  Like, that shoe that is perfection for the airport or a long car ride or just running around all day.  Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen or heard of Tieks at some point.  They are known for being compact and ultra comfortable.  They come with a collapsible tote (for heels or other shoes) and a carrying case for the flats.  You can easily stash them in your purse and pull them out when necessary.  They get like 1000 points for convenience.

While it’s true that Tieks are compact, comfortable, and easy to transition, I don’t think Tieks deserve to just be a backup.  I like them enough for them to be my primaries.

I have to be honest here though.  I wasn’t totally sure about these shoes until I got a gift card for them from #SBScon.  Tieks definitely come with a hefty price tag and the gift card helped that a bit.  However, now that I own a pair and have been wearing them, I would buy another.  The company says that their customers return again and again and I now understand why.  The shoes are really flexible and strong and should last a long time (and they are all the things I’ve already mentioned).  I also emailed customer service several times before ordering and they were so very helpful.  Overall, I had a great purchasing experience, which definitely contributes to my willingness to purchase again.

I debated long and hard over what color to get.  There’s a huge variety but I went with ballerina pink because it seems like a classic.  I think I made the right choice because these are so versatile.  Next time I might go a little bolder though.

Have you tried Tieks before?  What do you think?

Happy Tuesday!

Much love,

Mae

Ha! You are so welcome. And I’m maybe being a little bit dramatic. They probably aren’t really as popular as they are in my mind. It’s probably one of those things where once you’ve heard of something, you see it everywhere.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Gah, I want a pair so badly… but the price tag is killing me! These must be magic flats to justify such a steep price. A gift card helps, for sure, I just wish they’d lower their prices a tad. Or send a Tieks fairy to my doorstep 🙂

Can the ballerina pink be “read” as a nude? I really want a nude flat but the pair tieks calls nude is a patent. I’m not into patent. So…I debated over the pink. What do you think? It appears that they could be worn as a neutral. ??

Hey Shale! Yeah, I think so! They are definitely a blush pink color, but I see them as a neutral for sure.
